Dr. Matteo Pisano

Biography

Matteo Pisano holds the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and serves as a Lecturer in Accountancy at Concordia University. He earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree with Distinction and graduated as the Valedictorian of his cohort. At Concordia, Professor Pisano teaches courses in accountancy as part of the Master’s Business Administration (MBA) and CPA programs, specializing in managerial accounting, financial reporting, financial accounting, and Canadian taxation. He is actively involved in the university’s CPA Capstone II Program and participates as a guest lecturer, sharing his expertise in comprehensive case analyses. He also coaches the John Molson Case Competition Team in taxation for the annual Jeux du Commerce Ominium Financier. Before his academic career, Professor Pisano worked as a public accounting auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), specializing in serving clients in Real Estate Asset & Wealth Management. He later took on a role at Fiera Comox Partners Inc., where he built and oversaw financial accounting, reporting, and investor relations functions for various private investment strategies. Currently, he serves as Senior Director of Investor Relations at Fiera Comox, leading their investor relations program.
