Dr. Matteo Vegetti

Biography

Matteo Vegetti is a professor at the Università della Svizzera italiana, where he focuses on Aesthetics and Philosophy within the Space Academy of Architecture. He holds a graduate degree in Philosophy and Psychology, followed by a PhD in Philosophy. He has served as a professor at institutions including the Politecnico di Milano from 2019 to 2022 and as a visiting professor at the University of Bergamo. Vegetti is also a member of the Master program in Geopolitics at Sapienza University of Rome. His contributions include directing the 'Emergenza Terra' lecture series and curating the 'Mundaneum' cultural project in Monte Verità, Ascona. He coordinates the SNF Synergy project focusing on Aerial Spatial Revolution and has authored significant works such as 'La fine della storia', 'Hegel e confini dell'Occidente', and 'Global Spatial Revolution'. His research interests span Contemporary Philosophy, Aesthetics, and Theoretical Philosophy, particularly addressing issues of space and social theories within the context of architecture and metropolitan studies.
