Biography

Matthew Allan Crystal, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Columbia University Medical Center. He specializes in Pediatric Cardiology and has been actively involved in treating children with cardiovascular conditions. Dr. Crystal obtained his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario in 2001 and completed his residency in Pediatrics, followed by fellowships in Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Interventional Cardiology at SickKids Hospital, University of Toronto in 2008. He has since worked at various prestigious institutions, including Texas Children's Hospital and NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital, where he currently serves as the Associate Director of the Pediatric Catheterization Laboratory. Dr. Crystal has also established a Fetal Cardiac Intervention Team at NewYork-Presbyterian. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, reflecting his commitment to the advancement of pediatric cardiac care and education.
