Biography

Matthew Evan Ehrlich, MD MPH is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Duke University School of Medicine, where he holds positions in the Hospital Neurology division and Vascular Neurology Stroke division. Dr. Ehrlich received his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in 2012 and completed his internal medicine internship and neurology residency at the University of Virginia, followed by a fellowship in vascular neurology at Duke University. His clinical practice focuses on hospital neurology, emergency, inpatient telemedicine settings, and outpatient stroke specialty clinic. He serves as the Medical Director of the Neurology Consultation Service at the Primary Stroke Center at Duke Regional Hospital. His research interests include stroke systems care, care disparities, and outcomes research in inpatient neurology care quality. Dr. Ehrlich has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in respected international medical journals including Stroke, Neurology, Neurohospitalist Journal, and the American Heart Journal. He has also served as the principal investigator for major stroke clinical trials at Duke.
