Biography

Matthew Hornick, MD, is a pediatric surgeon treating a broad array of conditions in patients ranging from newborns to young adults. He feels fortunate to have the opportunity to address surgical problems in children, and as a father of three boys, he understands the importance of children's health and well-being to their parents. His primary goal is to provide patients with the level of care that he would want for his own children. Dr. Hornick earned his medical degree from Yale University and completed his General Surgery training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He was a research fellow at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where he contributed to the development of an “artificial placenta” model designed to support extremely premature babies. He completed his residency and clinical fellowship in Pediatric Surgery at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
