Biography

Matthew Kressy is a Senior Lecturer and the Co-founder and Director of the MIT Integrated Design & Management (IDM) Master’s degree program. He is also a founding trustee of the New England Innovation Academy (NEIA) and serves as Principal at Designturn Inc. Kressy has a strong background in industrial design, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design. His work focuses on human-centered design, creative problem-solving, and the integration of business, engineering, and manufacturing. He has co-taught collaborative courses in product design with prestigious institutions such as MIT Sloan School of Management, Rhode Island School of Design, and Harvard Business School. As IDM’s director, he led curriculum development and taught primary required courses that emphasize a hands-on, interdisciplinary approach to design-driven problem solving supported by deep user research. Kressy's goal is to foster compassionate and empathetic organizations and society through thoughtful, inspired leadership.
