Biography

Matthew D. Lamb conducts research at the intersections of urban communication, architectural theory and criticism, performance studies, and cultural studies, with philosophies centering on the production of space. His primary research focuses on architecture’s place within communication processes, producing understandings of use, efforts to control, and framing interpretations of the moving body in city spaces. Dr. Lamb’s work has been featured in Liminalities: A Journal of Performance Studies, Journal of Urban Cultural Studies, and Communication & Sport. He is a regular attendee and active participant in the Urban Communication Foundation. Dr. Lamb teaches courses in Conflict Resolution and Negotiation, Organizational Communication, Small Group Communication, and Public Speaking.
