Biography

Matthew Larson, MD, PhD grew up in Delafield, WI. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating with highest honors. Larson joined the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology and completed his medical degree. He undertook his internship, Diagnostic Radiology residency, and Neuroradiology fellowship at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. In 2024, he joined the Nuclear Medicine and Neuroradiology sections as an Assistant Professor (CHS). His professional interests include molecular imaging, neurodegenerative diseases, and neuro-oncologic processes.
