Biography

Matthew L. Miller is a Senior Lecturer at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where he has been teaching since 2006. He co-authored the acclaimed study 'Everyone Culture' published by Harvard Business Review Press in 2016, which focuses on organizations that prioritize transformational learning among their members, termed 'Deliberately Developmental Organizations'. In his role, he serves as the senior associate dean of Learning and Teaching and chairs Harvard’s Institute for Management and Leadership in Education. He leads a graduate core course on the application of developmental psychology in educational practice and provides courses related to higher education organizational leadership. Additionally, Miller has been instrumental in several projects funded by the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, both aimed at developing equitable student success initiatives in higher education. He was named a 'Harvard Hero' by President Drew Gilpin Faust. He received his Ed.D. from Harvard University and a B.A. from Yale University.
