Biography

Matthew Poland is a part-time lecturer in the Department of English at the University of Washington. He obtained his Ph.D. in English from the University of Washington in 2022, and he also holds an M.S. in Library Information Science from UNC Chapel Hill (2013) and an M.A. in English Literary Studies from the University of York (2009). His publications and contributions include a co-edited special issue of the Victorian Periodicals Review and various essays exploring Victorian literature and modern adaptations. He teaches courses such as 'Reading Literary Forms' and 'Composition: Literature,' fostering critical engagement with texts through a historical and contemporary lens.
