Biography

Matthieu Allez is a member of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the MUHC Research Institute, where he holds the Bruce Kaufman McGill IBD Research Chair. He completed his residency training in gastroenterology at the Université de Paris and has years of post-doctoral experience at Mount Sinai in New York. He has served as Chief of Gastroenterology at the Hopital St Louis in Paris. His research focuses on basic aspects of mucosal immunology and immunopathology related to inflammatory bowel disease, specifically the role of T cells in mucosal inflammation. He is also developing a leading translational research program in IBD at McGill University.
