Biography

Matthieu Bloch received his Engineering Degree from Supélec in France and completed his M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech in 2003. He obtained his Ph.D. in Engineering Science from Université de Franche-Comté, France in 2006, followed by a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2008. After a year as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Notre Dame, he joined the faculty at Georgia Tech in July 2009. Initially starting at the Georgia Tech Lorraine campus in Metz, France, he moved to the main campus in Atlanta in 2013. In January 2021, he was appointed associate chair for ECE Graduate Affairs. His research interests include communications, information theory, error-control coding, wireless communications, and physical-layer security.
