Biography

Mattias Lindahl is a globally recognized expert in Circular Economy, EcoDesign, and Product-Service Systems (PSS). He has been actively engaged in research and teaching on EcoDesign since 1997 and was involved with Integrated Product-Service Engineering (IPSE), notably known for PSS, since 1999. At Linköping University, where he has held a professorial position since 2003, his research and teaching focus on Circular Economy (CE), EcoDesign, and environmentally driven product development. Throughout his time at the university, Lindahl has led major research projects in close collaboration with industry and was a key figure in the eight-year Mistra REES program, which concluded in 2023. He has also contributed to international standardization, notably with the development of ISO 14006:2020, IEC 62430:2020, and several circular economy standards. Additionally, Lindahl serves as an associate editor for the prestigious Journal Cleaner Production, which is ranked among the top 100 journals with a CiteScore of 20.4 and an Impact Factor of 9.7 as of 2023.
