Graduated from the Alfort School of Veterinary Medicine, France, in 2007, I initially practiced equine medicine in the field for two years. I then completed a residency in equine internal medicine from 2011 to 2014 at the CHUV in Saint-Hyacinthe. In 2016, I became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (DACVIM-LA). My PhD on the dissemination of antibiotic resistance genes in animals, at the EcL Laboratory, under the supervision of Dr. Fairbrother, was a logical continuation of the residency. It connected the clinical approach of cases with refractory infections to antibiotic treatments faced at CHUV and molecular microbiology research. I then undertook a postdoctoral fellowship on the use of antibiotics and antimicrobial resistance in Quebec's dairy herds. During these years, I acquired skills in bacteriology, bioinformatics, genomics, and epidemiology.
