I am a teaching assistant at the Environmental Sciences Humanities Institute. Since January 2025, I have also been the scientific coordinator of the continuing education program CAS "Ethical Decision-Making Professionals". I teach courses and seminars on applied ethics (animal ethics, environmental ethics, sustainability ethics, and veterinary ethics). My research lies at the intersection of animal ethics, care ethics, and moral psychology. I have been interested in various facets of ethics for many years. After writing a Master's thesis in animal ethics at the University of Geneva, I obtained a doctorate in theoretical ethics from the University of Fribourg in 2022. I then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the didactics of ethics at the Vaud School of Education. My current research focuses on issues in animal ethics (equine ethics, euthanasia decision-making, ethical relationships between humans and animals). In June 2025, my co-author Friederike Zenker and I received the Karen Dalke Award for excellence in equine research at the early career stage during the Equine Cultures Transition conference held at Manchester Metropolitan University.
