Dr. Maude Plante

Biography

Maude Plante is a Full Professor in the School of Accounting at Université Laval. She holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of New South Wales and an MBA and BBA, both in Accounting, from Laval University. With a rich background as a Chartered Professional Accountant, her research focuses on areas such as accounting assessment, optimization, management theory, and sociological methodology in relation to research methods. Plante has actively contributed to several funded research activities, including the evaluation and valuation of accountants in Major League Baseball and examining the governance of museums. Her work incorporates ethical considerations regarding the commodification of disabilities and the implications of data-driven economies within mobile application industries. Apart from her research, she is involved in editorial responsibilities for several prestigious accounting journals and has received numerous awards, including the PhD Placement Scholarship and various excellence scholarships throughout her academic career. Her professional involvement has also included responsibilities in editorial activities and collaborative research initiatives.
