Biography

Maureen A. Coerdt is the Chief Operating Officer at the University of Michigan School of Nursing. Dr. Coerdt directs administrative functions within UMSN, overseeing its strategic direction, marketing, recruiting, finance, technology, and human resources. She is also responsible for directing system-level initiatives that include developing strategic plans for financing and constructing new educational facilities, directing market analyses to inform student recruitment strategies, and preparing system models to enhance operational support. Dr. Coerdt's prior experience includes working at an international consulting firm that specialized in strategic planning, financial management, and information systems development in the higher education and healthcare sectors. At U-M, she teaches courses focused on business, strategic planning, and system assessment. She holds a Doctorate and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with specializations in finance and marketing, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a specialization in computer information systems, earned from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.
