Maurizio Porfiri is an Institute Professor and the Interim Chair of the Civil and Urban Engineering Department at New York University Tandon School of Engineering. Dr. Porfiri has received numerous accolades, including the ASME Fellow and IEEE Fellow designations, as well as several awards for his contributions to engineering and education, such as the National Science Foundation CAREER award and the Outstanding Young Alumnus award from Virginia Tech.
