Dr. Max Lizano

Biography

Max Lizano is an Associate Professor in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at Queen's University, where he has taught Spanish courses since 1996. He held teaching positions at educational institutions in Canada and the Bader International Study Centre in the UK. Professor Lizano emphasizes creating an active learning environment that engages students and makes the material comprehensible. He encourages a student-centered approach that promotes class participation and motivation. Using music as a teaching tool, he fosters the development of oral communication skills and overall fluency among students. He integrates songs into his lessons to expand vocabulary and enhance storytelling.
