Biography

Maxigas Dunajcsik is an Assistant Professor in Computational Methods at Utrecht University, specializing in Media Culture Studies. He serves as a co-Principal Investigator at the Critical Infrastructure Lab and has co-authored the monograph 'Resistance Current: Dialectics Hacking', which is a theoretically driven collection of case studies on the politics of informational capitalism and the long-term trajectory of hacker cultures. His current research interests focus on infrastructural ideologies and the translation of digital materialities, with a specific emphasis on the standards and protocols related to programmable infrastructures such as 5G networks. Maxigas actively engages in research that explores the intersections of technology and societal structures through a critical engineering lens, particularly examining how these infrastructures shape cultural narratives and informational dynamics.
