Dr. Maximillian Soong

Biography

Dr. Maximillian Soong is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Boston University's Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. He completed his medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2002 and his residency at Massachusetts General Hospital in Orthopaedic Surgery between 2003 and 2007. He further specialized in Hand Surgery during a fellowship at Brown University in 2008. Dr. Soong is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and holds a subspecialty certification in Surgery of the Hand. He is dedicated to advancing knowledge and practice in orthopaedic conditions, particularly those affecting the upper extremities. His special interests include carpal tunnel syndrome, elbow surgery, hand trauma, and reconstructive surgical procedures. Dr. Soong has also served as a lecturer at Tufts University School of Medicine, contributing to the education of future medical professionals. He actively participates in research and has a notable academic presence, focusing on various hand and elbow-related conditions. His clinical practice is based at Lahey Clinic, where he combines patient care with ongoing research initiatives.
