Biography

Maya Rossin-Slater is an Associate Professor of Health Policy at Stanford University, where she also serves as a Senior Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research and a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. She is a Research Affiliate at the Institute of Labor Economics. She obtained her Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University and a BA in Economics and Statistics from the University of California, Berkeley. Her research focuses on health and public economics, particularly issues related to maternal and child well-being, family structure and behavior, health disparities, and public policies impacting disadvantaged populations in the United States and developed countries. Rossin-Slater has published extensively in numerous peer-reviewed journals, including the American Economic Review and the Journal of Political Economy, and has received the National Science Foundation CAREER Award. She actively engages in teaching and advising doctoral students.
