I am a doctor specialized in children’s and adolescents’ health, holding a Ph.D. in Public Health. Currently, I work as a research fellow oriented towards health system research in the Department of Epidemiology and Global Health at Umeå University in Sweden. My postdoctoral experience includes working at the Department of Social Welfare in Bukkyo University in Japan. I lead a project aimed at bridging the gap in youth clinics for young men. My Ph.D. project, 'Leaving Door Ajar,' focused on sexual and reproductive health for young immigrants, creating a novel ecological framework for understanding access to healthcare. In my work, I explore the organization of sexual and reproductive healthcare based on the needs of men and youth-friendly conditions in Sweden. I lead the Swedish arm of a multi-country action research project on child rights during COVID-19 and am involved in various international projects assessing the effects of decision-making space on social accountability and decentralized health system performance in Tanzania, as well as comprehensive sexual education in Zambia and urban health disparities in Uganda. I am committed to shaping global health dialogues and serve as Managing Editor for the Journal of Community Systems Health, promoting fair and open-access publications.
