Mbemba Jabbi is an Associate Professor at Dell Medical School, where he focuses on education and clinical neuroscience. He graduated with combined Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in experimental psychology and neuroanatomy from the University of Groningen, Netherlands in 2002, and obtained his Ph.D. in clinical neuroscience from the University Medical Center Groningen in 2007. His current research applies deep behavioral phenotyping and multimodal imaging genetics to understand the neurogenetic basis of normal and dysregulated affective functioning. Jabbi leads studies examining how rare penetrant genetic events influence affective processes and aims to identify neurogenetic biomarkers of maladaptive affective dysfunctions. He is affiliated with the Society for Neuroscience and the Organization for Human Brain Mapping.
