Biography

Md Nurnabi Sheikh is a Trainee Health Economist within the Health Economics and Health Technology Assessment (HEHTA) research group at the University of Glasgow. His academic journey includes a PhD candidacy in Health Economics at the University of Strathclyde and multiple postgraduate degrees, including a Master of Health Economics from the University of Dhaka and a Master of Public Health from the Independent University, Bangladesh. He also holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. His professional experience spans impactful roles such as a Researcher in Health Economics at the University of Strathclyde, and positions with the World Health Organization and the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research in Bangladesh. Md's research interests focus on controlled interrupted time series designs, decision analytic modelling, economic evaluation, system dynamics modelling in health research, healthcare financing, and health technology assessment. Currently, he is involved in evaluating expanded premises hours in the alcohol night-time economy through mixed methods and natural experiment evaluations.
