Biography

Meaghan Kennedy, MD, is an Assistant Professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine specializing in Family Medicine. Her research primarily focuses on the development and implementation of interventions aimed at improving health outcomes for underserved populations with complex health and social needs. Kennedy has worked as a research fellow at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where she collaborated with a team of geriatrics researchers and primary care clinicians to conduct pilot feasibility trials on community health worker (CHW)-delivered interventions for older adults with functional limitations in rural northern New England. She also worked with the Population Health department at Dartmouth-Hitchcock to implement and evaluate a primary care-based CHW program for patients with unmet social needs within the D-H health system. Dr. Kennedy obtained her MD from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, completed her residency at NH Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency, and holds an MPH from the Boston University School of Public Health. She has received multiple awards, including recognition from the Gold Humanism Medicine Honor Society and Delta Omega Public Health Honor Society.
