Biography

Mebtu Beza received M.Sc., Lic.Eng., and Ph.D. degrees in Electric Power Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden in September 2009, June 2012, and February 2015, respectively. His Ph.D. research investigated applications of shunt-connected power electronic devices for active power injection capability, which increases the stability of power systems. As a researcher in the Division of Electric Power Engineering, he focuses on the study of electromagnetic transients in wind farms connected to the High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) main grid.
