Dr. Patel has over 20 years of experience working with children with autism and disabilities. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and received her BS degree in Psychology with an emphasis on Biology from the University of California at Davis in 1996. In 2003, she started Clinic 4 Kidz, a home-based Interdisciplinary Pediatric Feeding Disorders Program, where she currently serves as Executive Director. Her research and clinical interests focus on treating feeding problems in children with underlying medical issues such as prematurity, failure to thrive, tube dependence, gastroesophageal reflux, and food allergies. Furthermore, she has expertise in working with children with autism, particularly in treating food selectivity related to type and texture. Dr. Patel has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed journals and authored invited book chapters, presenting at various conferences across the country.
