Biography

Meg McQueen is an Adjunct Assistant Professor and Clinical Director at the Developmental Disabilities Consulting Program at Queen’s University. With over 15 years of experience working in the field, she specializes in providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities and dual diagnoses across their lifespan. Meg is also affiliated with the Department of Psychiatry and the School of Rehabilitation at Queen's University. Her research focuses on applied interventions for individuals with intellectual disabilities, particularly in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and end-of-life care, as well as sensory processing issues. Furthermore, she has emphasized interprofessional education and communication in the developmental disabilities field. Originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Meg has dedicated the past five years to developing rural interprofessional clinics in Northern Ontario, aiming to build capacity and increase access to essential services in hard-to-reach communities.
