Dr. Megan Blaxland

Biography

Megan Blaxland is a Senior Lecturer in the Arts, Design & Architecture at the University of New South Wales. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science with Honours and a PhD from the University of Sydney. Her research aims to improve policies and services that support Australian families experiencing adversity, focusing particularly on the community services sector to maintain a robust and responsive system. Blaxland specializes in early childhood education and care (ECEC) policy and practice, working to ensure that marginalized families are able to successfully navigate complex systems and access necessary services and subsidies. She has extensive experience in designing, conducting, and analyzing complex multi-site qualitative research. Her key research interests include family policy, low-income families, early childhood education and care, childcare, and family day care.
