Biography

Megan Bushnell is a post-doctoral researcher specializing in linguistic data, working to develop the Oxford Text Archive, a national repository for linguistic and literary data, as part of the AHRC's iDAH programme within the CLARIN-UK network. Previously, she led a data team on the Mapping Arts Humanities Project at the School of Advanced Study, University of London, where she created an online database for arts and humanities research infrastructure in the UK. Megan holds extensive experience in designing website data structures, such as for the Unlocking English Portrait Miniature project at the Fitzwilliam Museum, University of Cambridge. Her academic background includes medieval literature, classics, and corpus linguistics. Her personal research interests focus on Older Scots language literature, the reception of classical texts, and digital humanities, with a special emphasis on digital philology and book history. Megan also teaches topics including textual analysis, digital scholarly editing, text alignment, language varieties, and medieval poetry. She conducts a weekly reading group each term on Older Scots literature.
