Megan Gaucher is an Associate Professor in the Department of Law and Legal Studies at Carleton University. Her interdisciplinary research focuses on the intersections of citizenship, family, and belonging within Canadian immigration and refugee law, policy, and politics. Her current research includes a SSHRC-funded project on the issue of 'birth tourism' in Canada, as well as investigations into the implications of legislative frameworks affecting migrant families seeking permanent reunification. Gaucher supervises graduate students in the fields of immigration and refugee law, critical citizenship studies, family law and politics, and identity politics, and Canadian public policy.
