Biography

Megan Geloneck specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus. She earned her medical degree from McGovern Medical School, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Following her internship at Methodist Hospital in Houston, she completed an ophthalmology residency at McGovern Medical School, where she received multiple awards for outstanding research presentations. Megan also completed a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at Children's Hospital Philadelphia, affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania. She has a strong commitment to underserved communities, having participated in medical mission trips to Mexico, Morocco, and Jamaica. Her clinical interests include treating congenital cataracts, retinopathy of prematurity, nasolacrimal duct obstructions, amblyopia, and strabismus, and she takes pride in caring for both children and adults with double vision. Megan is honored to call Austin home and has received accolades from her ophthalmology residents as Faculty of the Year.
