Biography

Megan Gomes is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ottawa. She completed her medical degree and residency training at the University of Ottawa, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2015. In 2018, she obtained a Master of Science degree in Patient Safety and Health Care Quality from Queen's University. Dr. Gomes is a member of the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Ottawa Hospital, where her practice includes obstetrics and gynecology at both the Ottawa Hospital and the Shirley Greenberg Women’s Health Centre. She is also affiliated with the Origyns Medical clinic and is a member of the obstetrics call group at the General Campus. Dr. Gomes serves as the Director of Quality and Patient Safety in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Newborn Care, with a focused interest in patient safety and health care quality.
