Megan Huchko, MD, MPH, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Duke Global Health Institute. She completed her medical degree at Yeshiva University, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, followed by residency training at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and a fellowship in Reproductive Infectious Disease at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Huchko specializes in cervical cancer prevention and global women’s health research, focusing on optimizing treatment and diagnosis for cervical cancer among vulnerable women. She is actively involved with the Family AIDS Care Education Services (FACES) program in western Kenya, where she has developed and implemented cervical cancer screening and prevention programs for HIV-infected women. Her current research includes evaluating strategies for HPV-based cervical cancer screening in rural areas of central Uganda and western Kenya. At Duke University, she leads the Center of Excellence in Global Women’s Health and directs the Ob/Gyn Clinical Research Unit. Dr. Huchko is passionate about addressing health disparities and enhancing cervical cancer prevention efforts globally.
