Biography

Megha Amrith is an Associate Professor at Maastricht University, specializing in Globalization and Transnationalism. She is the author of "Caring Strangers: Filipino Medical Workers in Asia" and has co-edited volumes including "Aspiring Life: Movements in Time, Space, and Generations" and "Gender, Work, and Migration: Agency in Gendered Labour Settings". Megha was previously the leader of the Max Planck Research Group on 'Ageing in a Time of Mobility' and held various fellowships in prestigious institutions such as the University of São Paulo and the United Nations University. Her expertise lies in Migration, Transnational Mobilities, and Care Labour, employing methods of Ethnography and Qualitative Research.
