Meghan Moe Beitiks (they/them) is an artist and designer exploring the intersections of culture, nature, and structure through their work. Their artistic practice delves into ecology, trauma theory, and sustainable design, producing work that examines the relationships between humans and non-human entities. They have been a Fulbright Student Fellow and received the Claire Rosen Samuel Edes Foundation Prize for Emerging Artists. As a MacDowell Colony fellow, Beitiks also held an Artist-in-Residence position at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts. Their work has received funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Canada. They have designed lighting for various institutions, including the California Academy of Sciences and the Asian Art Museum, and have also worked with media sets for performances at the SF Sketchfest and with the David Herrera Performance Company. They completed their Bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts at the University of California at Santa Cruz and earned their Master of Fine Arts in Performance from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
