Biography

Meghan Walker is an Assistant Professor in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. She holds a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Toronto, a Master of Science in Epidemiology from York University, and an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto. Her research interests focus on cancer screening behaviors and outcomes, early detection and diagnosis of cancer, high-risk populations, and risk-tailored cancer prevention strategies. Walker is involved with projects such as the PERSPECTIVE I&I initiative aimed at personalized risk assessment for breast cancer detection and prevention, alongside various contributions to population-based studies assessing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on organized cancer screening and follow-up care in Ontario. She has published numerous studies that examine the adherence to breast cancer screening guidelines, particularly among women with a familial history of breast cancer, and has contributed to systematic reviews and meta-analyses in the field.
