Mehra Golshan, MD, MBA, is a nationally and internationally recognized leader in breast cancer treatment and research. In addition to caring for patients, he serves as the Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Surgical Services at Smilow Cancer Hospital and is the Executive Vice Chair of Operations in the Department of Surgery. He is a Professor of Surgical Oncology at the Yale School of Medicine and has authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications. As an educator, Dr. Golshan has mentored hundreds of breast surgical fellows and taught at prestigious institutions. He has received the 2025 Ellis Island Medal of Honor for his exceptional contributions to breast cancer treatment, as well as a commitment to mentoring and supporting underserved communities. He is also actively involved in professional organizations including the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers and the American College of Surgeons.
