Biography

Mehrdad Ghandhari Alavijh is a full professor in Electric Power Systems at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). He was born in Tehran and completed his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering at KTH in 1995 and 2000, respectively. His research interests include power system dynamics and stability control, FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission Systems), HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) systems, and both linear and non-linear control strategies.
