I am a clinical epidemiologist with over 15 years of research experience and eight years of post-doctoral experience. My research journey began in 2009 when I undertook PhD studies in epidemiology at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research (UNSW), specializing in osteoporosis and bone diseases. I completed my PhD in 2017 while working in the School of Clinical Medicine, focusing on pediatric respiratory health issues. I have led and coordinated more than 20 projects examining conditions like asthma, COVID-19, influenza, and RSV viral diseases. My work involves applying advanced statistical methods across a wide range of study designs, including observational, interventional, translational, epidemiological, and linkage survey studies. In addition to my PhD work, I collaborated with the Clinical Excellence Commission on a top 5 project aiming to improve care for dementia patients. I have a background in molecular biology and earned my Bachelor Degree with Honours, gaining experience in genetic analysis related to childhood VCFS. Furthermore, I actively mentor and supervise medical students and serve as a member of the editorial board of a scientific journal, as well as a peer reviewer for multiple journal articles.
