Meigan began working as a research assistant in the Complexity Programme at the MRC/CSO Social & Public Health Sciences Unit in November 2022. Her primary role is to support project management and coordination of the PACES project, focusing on the qualitative workstream and public engagement involvement. Meigan completed her PhD at the Unit in February 2023, with doctoral research utilizing a mixed-methods approach to explore barriers and facilitators to weight loss in behavioral weight management programs through a social-ecological lens. Prior to her PhD, Meigan earned an MSc in Clinical Health Psychology with distinction in 2017 and a MA(Hons) in Psychology (First Class) in 2014. She has worked as a researcher at the Universities of Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Nottingham on a range of projects aimed at developing and evaluating interventions to improve health outcomes. Meigan is a member of the UK Society of Behavioural Medicine and the Scottish committee of the Association for the Study of Obesity.
