Biography

Melanie Rock is an anthropologist and social worker holding a PhD in Sociocultural and Medical Anthropology and a Master of Social Work. With a focus on promoting human health in contexts of socioeconomic inequities, particularly among Indigenous communities in urban areas, she has attracted funding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
