Dr. Mélanie Roussy

Biography

Mélanie Roussy is a Full Professor in the School of Accounting at Université Laval. She holds a Ph.D. in internal audit governance from HEC Montreal, as well as an MBA and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on accounting from Laval University. Her research interests encompass Internal Auditing, Governance, Risk Management, and Control. She is actively involved in the academic community and has served on various committees and organizations related to accounting and auditing. Notably, Roussy has been a member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec since 2001 and has participated extensively in conference organizations. Her contributions include serving as co-chair of the scientific committee for the Critical Perspectives in Accounting Conference and ad hoc reviewer for several prestigious journals. Roussy is also a dedicated mentor, having supervised doctoral research and participated in significant academic leadership roles. Her recent media presence highlights the relevance of CPA engagement in current realities, advocating for the integration of practical implications in educational frameworks.
