Biography

Dr. Melih Motro received his DDS degree from Marmara University in Istanbul and holds a PhD in Orthodontics. He began his academic career at Marmara University and currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Boston University, specifically in the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. His clinical work includes treating patients at the Dental Health Center. He has received the 2016 Anthony Gianelly Teaching Fellowship Award from the Roth Williams International Society of Orthodontists for his work related to epithelial-mesenchymal transition in fetal palatal shelves. His ongoing projects include a remotely activated maxillary expander and various studies on dental wear in orthodontic patients, reflecting his commitment to advancing the field of orthodontics through innovative research and education.
