Biography

Melinda Owens is passionate about effectively helping students learn biology. She received her PhD in neuroscience from the University of California, San Francisco. Throughout her career, she has taught at a range of institutions, including Stanford University and California State University, East Bay. Owens was a SEPAL Postdoctoral Fellow in Biology Education under Kimberly Tanner at San Francisco State University. She joined the University of California, San Diego in 2018.
