Melisa Orta Martinez is an Assistant Professor in the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, where she leads the Social Haptics Robotics Education (SHRED) Laboratory. She primarily focuses on the development of low-cost, open-source robotic technologies for educational applications, aiming to understand the impact of technology on learning outcomes.
