Biography

Prior to joining Penn State Harrisburg, Melissa Carey began her nursing career at the Holy Spirit Hospital on an adult medical-surgical neurological floor. She has also worked at the Penn State Children's Hospital in the Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit and served as a school nurse at Milton Hershey School. Melissa has experience as a nurse educator, beginning in 2016 when she worked as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at HACC. She completed her Master's in Nursing Education in 2020 at Penn State, bringing a variety of experiences to her role.
