Biography

Meltem Yilmaz, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Yilmaz has been recognized with notable awards, including the Donald Funk Award at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in 1999 and a 1st Place Poster Presentation at the Midwest Anesthesia Residents Conference in the same year. Her professional memberships include the Society of Airway Management, Society of Ambulatory Anesthesia, Society for Simulation in Healthcare, and the Society of Anesthesia and Sleep Medicine. She actively participates in the Guidelines Committee of the Society of Ambulatory Anesthesia and has ongoing commitments to various professional societies. Her research interests focus on improving patient care through collaboration with pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies, ensuring the advancement of science in clinical practices.
