Professor Mengxing Tang joined the Department of Bioengineering at Imperial College London in 2006 and became a Professor in 2018. Before this, he was a postdoc researcher and Departmental Lecturer at the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford. Dr. Tang founded the Ultrasound Laboratory for Imaging Sensing (ULIS). His current research focuses on developing new in vivo imaging techniques with ultrahigh temporal resolution, utilizing ultrasound and advanced signal imaging processing techniques to visualize and quantify macro- and micro-vascular structures and flow dynamics. He works on ultrasound tomography technologies for imaging the human brain and is investigating applications of ultrasound in brain-computer interfaces. Professor Tang collaborates extensively with clinicians, biologists, and engineers. His clinical interests encompass cardiovascular diseases, cancer, neurological conditions, as well as gut and reproductive system disorders. He is actively seeking talented PhD candidates, postdoc researchers, and project students in areas relating to ultrasound super-resolution imaging and signal processing. Professor Tang's research publications are accessible on his Google Scholar profile.
